A florist put a sign in front of his business that had men pulling u-turns to get back to the shop. The sign simply read, “In the dog house?” This is a perfect example of guerrilla marketing. Simple, inexpensive, yet highly effective and a powerful tool for any small businesses.

We here at MyModernWeb are fans of guerrilla marketing tactics. Wikipedia defines guerrilla marketing  as “an unconventional system of promotions that relies on time, energy and imagination rather than a big marketing budget. Typically, guerrilla marketing campaigns are unexpected and unconventional, potentially interactive, and consumers are targeted in unexpected places. The objective of guerrilla marketing is to create a unique, engaging and thought-provoking concept to generate buzz, and consequently turn viral.”

With advertising everywhere, it might seem like a difficult task to stand out. The gallery we have put together are guerrilla marketing strategies that are much more effective than annoying ads that take up half of the tv screen or YouTube video. Some of the examples are simple and inexpensive, some are more complex. All are to inspire outside-the-box thinking when it comes to your advertising campaign.
