How many visitors does your website get in a week? Do you get 100, 200 or even 1000 people looking at your site? Now how many of those people buy something or at least request more information? If less than 1% your visitors buy something or generate a lead then the last thing you need to worry about is traffic. What is the point of paying a ton of money to send people to a website that doesn’t work? Before you do anything you need to increase you conversion rate.

Your conversion rate is the percentage of visitors that either buy something or contact you. Anything over 1% is great. But if you have a conversion rate that is under 1% any money you spend on traffic might as well be flushed down your toilet.

A low conversion rate is harder to fix than low traffic. You can just throw your money at low traffic. But a low conversion rate only happens when:

1. People don’t want what you’re selling
2. People don’t like what you’re saying
3. Your website is too hard to use

If your problem is number one I can’t help you. But if you’re having trouble with 2 or 3 a firm like MyModernWeb is exactly what you are looking for.
